Our world is full of stigma about sex. So much so that folks often ask if it is okay to talk about sex in therapy. Let’s talk about sex! Your sex life is a part of you, and it is a part of your wellness! You are welcome to explore it in our space together.
I’ve also noticed that sometimes clients feel they can only talk about sex when it’s connected to trauma. Our space can also explore your joyous, pleasurable, curiosity-generating experiences with sex.
I approach all sexual health and wellness through the lens of Reproductive Justice. Reproductive Justice is a framework created by Black and Indigenous women. SisterSong, a Southern RJ organization, defines Reproductive Justice this way: “the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.” This means that I am here for an array of reproductive experiences, and my respect for your dignity is unwavering throughout.
If you are currently seeking support for a time-sensitive reproductive matter, such as an upcoming abortion, please make a note in the subject line of your email so that I can be sure to get back to you as quickly as possible. If you are seeking support for obtaining an abortion in the Southeastern United States , I recommend contacting Access Reproductive Care-Southeast. Here is a map of abortion funds in the United States and Mexico that can offer support in other areas. Here are some recommendations in finding the right clinic for you from the National Network of Abortion Funds. I commend you in exploring the options available to you!
